Bon Fresco in Columbia

One of the best spots in town! Excellent food, fast service, friendly employees. The soups are so good! And get a brownie, thank me later. It's so nice to have a go-to place like this that isn't a huge corporate chain since that's basically all there is in Columbia.

It behooves me that I'm just now discovering this place!!!??? It couldn't be anymore outstanding! I literally had one sandwich from this little hidden gem of a nook place and fell. in. love. The Bread and the fresh ingredients are truly a distinguishable highlight and the flavors they've created are marvelous. This will be a place I'd like to keep all to myself and tell no one about BECAUSE IT IS THAT GOOD! I HIGHLY Recommend this place!! You will not be disappointed!

I went here today along with my colleague. We ordered a salad, tomato mozzarella sandwich and Gazpacho soup (not on their menu). Everything was so fresh and delicious just like home made food. Best sandwich shop in the area I ever tried.

Sandwiches are all about the bread. Bon fresco home make their bread fresh the night before and serve it in a variety of ways to your liking. The bread is hard on the outside and chewy once you break into the shell. Great for housing all the constitutes of a sandwich requiring you to chew the flavors together. Here are my top three house classics.London broil - take lean thin sliced beef, artisan lettuce, mayo, and some onions. This is a great steak sandwich on a some good breadChicken picante - for those who are not digging the beef and want alittle spice and extra flavor. Curried chicken, pesto, grilled veggies and peppers. We are talking about tons of flavor here. Corned beef - if your a corn beef snob,this may not be for you. It's really the bread that makes the sandwich because I don't believe the corn beef is home made (someone fact check me). Overall. Any sandwich is about the bread and bon fresco knows. So take a trip here to experience that.

I used to pride myself on my homemade prociutto - mozzarella - tomato - pesto sandwiches. Then I went to Bon Fresco and got their prociutto sandwich with roasted red peppers and balsamic... all for less $$ and made quickly. So... Well there goes my pride :P These are a lovely group of people making delicious sandwiches that you don't want to miss. It's hard to explore their menu because you'll just want to keep eating the same thing you got last time!

This little soup & sandwich shop is truly remarkable. You get 5 star gourmet food for 3 star chain restaurant prices. If you haven't tried Bon Fresco, you need to have lunch there today. Bon Fresco is probably the best value for lunch in Columbia. One of the best sandwich shops I've found anywhere.

This will ALWAYS be one of my favorite lunch places! Great quality food, amazingly friendly staff and excellent, quick, reasonably priced service!

Love the sandwiches. Their chicken picante is addictive. Never been brave enough to try the sides. They look good but I'm more of a fries person. Only down side is that the food is a little pricey and the wait can be long. Would recommend going before or after non-peak times. You'll be waiting for a bit if you don't. Not a fan of the shopping center's layout. Parking is limited and cramped. Hard to find a parking spot in front of the building. Better to park a little farther down and walk to it. All around great place and will continue to go.

I love a good sandwich. I bought the corned beef and the chicken sandwich and they were so good!!!

I love eating at Bon Fresco as it is very close to my work and gym. I generally get the Mozzarella and Tomato sandwich and I add 1 piece of chicken to it. However, I have tried just about all of their sandwiches and they are all good. They also have a Saffron Tomato soup that is absolutely delicious. Go there!

First time there. People were patient and friendly. My sandwich was scrumptious. Then the staff cheerfully packed up my other half to take home.

What a busy place for lunch. Food was prepared quickly. It was good enough, but not totally to my taste. You will find gourmet sandwiches and bakery items here.

London Broil sandwich is top knotch. The location is a bit hidden but it's next to the Fast Signs place. A chill and relaxed little shop, treat yourself to a delicious pastry. You won't regret it!

We like a lot hanging out. Yesterday we went to this excellent restaurant which we didn’t know before. We had a lovely time there with first-rate meal and a well-trained stuff and an impressive cuisine. We put this venue in our list and we will surely return soon. We warmly recommend.

A wonderful local business with good customer service and an incredible owner. The London Broil is my favorite but all of the others that I've had are also yummy. All of the bread is made in store from scratch.

London broil sandwich seemed a little pricey, but it was worth it. The meat was cooked just right and was quite tasty. Bought a loaf of the fresh baked bread which is also excellent with a hint of sweetness. I'll make sure to stop in again the next time I'm in the area.

Amazingly great tasting sandwiches, house made soups, salads. The bread is to die for! Long-rise, hand-made ciabatta, creatively melded with high-quality meats, cheeses, etc. makes their sandwiches addictive. Especially the London broil sandwich.

I rarely write reviews, but I felt compelled to write one for this place. This is the best hidden gem in Columbia. Their bread and ingredients are always so fresh. I always get their London broil with their saffron tomato soup. The London broil is delicious, and tastes good with any of their fresh made breads. Highly recommend!

If you haven't been here, try it. I GUARANTEE you will love it. London broil and chicken picante are my favorites but the salads are good too. I also appreciate how the workers, especially Mr. Gerald are very kind and polite.

I ordered my food at closing time, the young man graciously told me that the restaurant was closing at 7pm but they would wait for me to arrive. They waited, my food was HOT and the staff was EXCELLENT! (YES, I LEFT A TIP)I ended up leaving my credit card in the machine and they called me back and WAITED, YET AGAIN for me to return. This place is AWESOME! The service is IMPECCABLE!

Must try ! They have a good selection of sandwich and salad. What make this place outstanding is their bread. They bake it FRESH and they make their own dough. I ordered London Broil Sandwich, and its taste so amazing ! Strongly recommend.

I've worked in Columbia MD for about 3 years and during that time, Bon Fresco has been consistent the yelp top rated lunch spot in Columbia. Prior to social distancing, I frequented the restaurant weekly. Their signature sandwich: the London broil is my go to, followed by their picante chicken and their curried chicken salad in a salad. All their bread is freshly baked daily. Their sandwiches are also reasonable priced around 7$. I stopped by today and its good to see that they're still doing well during this trying time period for restaurants.

If you like spicy food, get the Picante Chicken. Otherwise, London Broil. Sides are underwhelming, I recommend sticking to the sandwich.

OH. MY. GOD. BEST SANDWICH I'VE EVER HAD🤦🏽‍♂️ I chose to try the London Broil, their most famous sandwich, and I debated with myself over whether or not I should get it as is because I don't like mustard and it comes with dijonaise. But let me tell you, I'm so glad I got it as is! Everything about this sandwich screamed FRESH. And QUALITY. Truly amazing. My new go to at lunch time!!!!❤

Cinnamon buns Friday only!!! I need to buy one for every day of the week :) Your going to love the soups and salads here. Fresh made right in front of you. Bread baking in the back. Its not your ordinary. Unique salads made to order. Love the couscous and curry chicken salads. You can sit and eat if you please. Small joint and not much room at register. I think they are outgrowing the place. Pretty fast service too. Parking is hit or miss in this area but the walk will be worth it. Last meal was turkey sandwich large enough to feed 2 people. ❤

This place is amazing. I always get the same thing (turkey platter w couscous) but I’m convinced everything they make is fantastic. Even during lunch rush hour it’s never too long of a wait. This place is fantastic start to finish. Oh and all their bread is fresh baked same day 😍

This little restaurant is a highlight of the Columbia foodie world. Even during this time of pick-up orders only, they excel with fresh ingredients, fantastic baked goods and surprising flavor combinations as their hallmarks. High marks for them!

I moved to the south to be near my children in my retirement years this was my favorite lunch spot !💙 When I lived in Maryland I worked right down the street at Mason and Friend's .My favorite dish was the curry chicken salad and fresh bread I sure wish I had the recipe I can't find anything like it here hope you're all doing well bon appétit !

I love this place. It's home grown after the owner made a name for himself in DC. Good food at a good price with links to the community. It is a real jewel in our town.

Food is amazing! only complaint is when trying to order my food over the phone I was hung up on and I proceeded to call back and they wouldnt pick up so I had to keep calling until finally someone else answered. Besides that totally recommend.

Foccacio to die for!

I love the food, and the more interesting sandwiches. There's much more variety then usual ham, tuna salad, etc. some places have. It's clean, and the food it given out quickly. The only this is that it's always busy during the lunch rush, so expect the store to be crowded and parking spots all filled.

Fantastic sandwiches, sides and fantastic bread. They bake their own and it's amazing. Tiny place but worth it.

Love this place for a quick lunch! The prosciutto sandwich is my go-to, and the brownies are the best I've ever had!!! I also enjoy all their soups-of-the-day, though they almost always taste too peppery. A full sandwich, soup, and brownie runs for about $13 which is great for Columbia.
